BDO proud sponsors of charity event: Champions of Cyclesport 2017
Hosted by Action Medical Research the event has raised more than £1.5 million since its launch in 2010. The eighth ‘end of season’ cycling dinner, held on Thursday 23 November and sponsored by BDO, raised around £260,000.
More than 700 people attended the event, held at the Battersea Evolution venue in Battersea Park, London. Guests enjoyed the chance to mingle with a number of cycling stars including: Chris Boardman MBE, Graeme Obree, Alex Dowsett, Katie Archibald, Yanto Barker, Rochelle Gilmour, Dani Rowe MBE, Dan Martin and Steven Burke MBE.
Chris Grove commented:
“The event was a fantastic opportunity to give something back and support a great charity that has been responsible for funding some ground-breaking research, including the development of the polio vaccine and the development of ultrasound.”
BDO sponsored the pre-dinner drinks and in conjunction with Rollapaluza offered guests the opportunity to participate in a series of BDOVELO branded charity races of 250m; an interesting spectacle in black tie! We also hosted a BDOVELO raffle, with prices to support wellbeing.
