A crisp, autumnal morning greeted a small but hardy group who ventured out into the Surrey Hills for the Falling Leaves ride of this year’s BDOVELO season. The lanes east of Dorking allowed for a good warm up, before descending on the Parrott Inn at Forest Green for a welcome mid ride coffee.
Greeted by a pig on the spit and 200 riders from the Surrey Union hunt on their opening meet of the season, we enjoyed a brief break before heading into the hills including the challenging White Down Lane, before descending into the spectacular Denbies vineyard and the end of the ride.
Thanks to Chris for selecting an excellent route, and reminding us yet again of how good the riding in the Surrey Hills is. We’re now looking forward to our Season Finale social event at the Shard on 14 November.
